FAIRWAY BRANCH LIBRARY SUMMER READING PROGRAM

June 13: (Monday) 1-2 p.m. Kawambe-Omowale African Drum & Dance Theatre.
The Kawambe-Omowale group is a captivating performing arts company that offers a glimpse of West African culture through performances of drumming, dancing, singing, and storytelling. Performance will be Fairway Recreation Center, Arizona Room #1, adjacent to library.

June 15: (Wednesday) 1-2 p.m. The Great Arizona Puppet Theater has a repertoire of over 50 shows, including classic fairy tales, original stories and educational programs. They will be performing The Big Bug Circus in the Fairway Recreation Center, Arizona Room #1, adjacent to library.

June 20: (Monday) 1-3 p.m. Red Rohall Silk Screen T-Shirt Printing Workshop for Teens
Silkscreen Printed T-shirts - Each participant designs, prepares, and then prints a one-of-a-kind T-shirt using the silkscreen printing art form. Finished shirts are permanent, washable, and very colorful. This program takes about 1 ½ hours. All materials, including T-shirts, are supplied. The 1 ½-hour workshop is limited to 8 people. Registration begins June 1. Program held in the library.

July 12: (Tuesday) 1-2 p.m. 2 Girls in a Nutshell - Hawaiian Dance Performers
2 Girls in a Nutshell offer fun, high energy dancers in fabulous costumes with various dance implements to entertain all ages! Hula dance styles include Maori, Tahitian and Hawaiian. Performance in the Fairway Recreation Center, Arizona Room #1, adjacent to library.
