Downloading Library eBooks and Audiobooks to Android
*Digital media is not available for download from Library computers. Downloads are only available to your personal computer or device.
- Install the OverDrive Media Console app on your device.
- Open Overdrive. If you choose "Get Books" it will prompt you to "Add a Library." Select this, and then enter "Maricopa County" in the "Find a Library" prompt.
- You'll need to log into your MCLD account (user name is your library barcode number, and the pin should be the last 4 of your phone number)
- Browse audiobook and ebook titles.
- If the book you want says "add to bookbag" it is available for check out. If it says "place a request" it is currently checked out, but you can request it by clicking the link.
- Click Proceed to check out., then download.
- Select 'Download'. The 'Library' screen is shown and the title is downloaded.
- Select the title to play it. Enjoy your book!
- Once your lending period is up, the title will simply disappear from your device.
