Downloading Library eBooks to Your Kindle

*Digital media is not available for download from Library computers. Downloads are only available to your personal computer or device.

Verify that you are connected to a wireless network: an active Wi-Fi connection is required for wireless delivery to a Kindle device. If your Kindle is not Wi-Fi capable or you do not have an active Wi-Fi connection, plug your Kindle into your computer via the USB cable.
Go to www.mcldaz.org and click "Download Center," then "OverDrive Download Center."
Go to Login on the Greater Phoenix Digital Library page, select Maricopa County Library District, sign in using your MCLD card. (user name is your library barcode number, and the pin should be the last 4 of your phone number)
To find a Kindle book, simply search by title, author, or subject and select "Kindle Book" in the format menu. You can also choose "View all Kindle Books" from the links on the left side of the screen.
If the book you want says "Add to Book Bag" it is available for check out. If it says "Place a Hold" it is currently checked out, but you can place a hold on it by clicking the link.
When you have added the books you want to your book bag, proceed to checkout. Confirm checkout.
Click the "Get for Kindle" button. This opens the Amazon.com website. You may be required to sign in with your Amazon.com account if you are not already logged in.
Select a Kindle device or Kindle reading app. Click the "Continue" button and sync your device or app to download the book, or choose to send it to your device via USB.
