Downloading Library eBooks to Your iPad
*Digital media is not available for download from Library computers. Downloads are only available to your personal computer or device.
- Visit the App Store on your iPad and search for the free OverDrive Media Console app.
- Install the OverDrive Media Console app on your device.
- Open Overdrive. When you open it the first time you will be prompted to enter your Adobe ID. If you have one, enter it here. If you don't, click the button to create one, then enter it to authorize your account.
- Choose "Get Books" and it will prompt you to "Add a Website." Select this, and then enter "Maricopa County" in the "Find a Library" prompt.
- You'll need to log into your MCLD account (user name is your library barcode number, and the pin should be the last 4 of your phone number)
- Browse ebook (or audiobook) titles.
- If the book you want says "add to bookbag" it is available for check out. If it says "place a request" it is currently checked out, but you can request it by clicking the link.
- Click Proceed to check out., then download.
- Select 'Download;. The 'Library' screen is shown and the title is downloaded.
Select the title to read it. Enjoy your book!
- Once your lending period is up, the title will simply disappear from your device.
