Heat Relief Network

From May 1 through September 30, all MCLD branches are official Cooling Centers of the Heat Relief Network. All of our libraries serve as a safe, cool indoor place for refuge from the heat during the day with drinking fountains available. For a full list of heat relief resources, please visit HeatAZ.com.

Summer Food Programs

Each year, select MCLD Libraries offer summer food programs. These programs are funded by St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance and Summer Food Service Program USDA. Check back in the summer for details on these programs.

July Food Drive

Our libraries hold a food drive every July to collect essential nonexpired and nonperishable items for local food banks. Summertime is an essential time of year for our food bank partners as they often see donations begin to drop off in the spring. Check back in the summer for details on the 2025 drive.
